Ecodisseny, 2017
The 'Premi Catalunya d’Ecodisseny 2017' recognizes products, projects, and strategies designed, manufactured, or implemented from Catalonia that integrate considerations in their design to improve the environmental performance of the products throughout their life cycle.
The design is an adaptation of the trophy model awarded at the VII Premios de Prevención de Residuos. The same geometry and components have been preserved, and the stability of the trophy has been improved with a base that also includes information about the award.
The trophies are made from materials with low environmental impact, recycled and/or renewable, and non-toxic, such as plaster with esparto fibers, emphasizing the idea of connection with nature and tradition.
The inner ring is made of iron, the most recycled material, painted with watercolor. The inner circle is made of recycled plastic from packaging waste. Materials: Plaster, esparto fibers, mixed plastic, and iron.
